Saunagus is a type of aromatherapy practiced in a sauna. A Gusmester mixes water with essential oils and pours them on the hot stones. Then, the Gusmester will circulate the combined vapors by swinging a towel or a fan. This creates a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. We call this the “heavy meditation”.
A Saunagus session takes around 75 minutes, including breaks. It is split into 3 parts of 12 minutes each, with 8 minute breaks in between.
Sauna 85 uses only essential oils and strives to mix the perfect combination of scents. We also use music during our Saunagus, to create the best possible experience.
Sauna 85 wants to bring Saunagus closer to you. It should be easier to gain access to a sauna. You don’t need a membership with Sauna 85. You can always book a Gus straight from our calendar, whenever and wherever you like. We strive to move all around Copenhagen, from Østerbro to Dragør. We are always looking for new locations, so please contact us if you know of an available place next to the water.

A Gus can help you get peace of mind, to let your thoughts float and declutter your brain.The combination of warmth, scent and music sets everything on pause. In a stressful day to day, a Gus works as an unbelievably safe and peaceful environment, where you can get back in touch with your own body.
