Saunagus is a type of aromatherapy practiced in a sauna. A gusmester mixes water with essential oils and pours them on the hot stones. Then, the gusmester will circulate the combined vapors by swinging a towel or a fan. This creates a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. We call this the “heavy meditation”.
A saunagus session takes around 75 minutes, including breaks. It is split into 3 parts of 12 minutes each, with 8 minute breaks in between.
Sauna 85 uses only essential oils and strives to mix the perfect combination of scents. We also use music during our Saunagus, to create the best possible experience.
Sauna85 aims to bring saunagus closer to you. We want to make saunagus more accessible. At Sauna85, no membership is required. You can always book a saunagus directly in our calendar, whenever and wherever it suits you. We have saunas in Nørrebro/Nordvest, Amager, and Volume Village in Aarhus.
We have experienced that saunagus offers an incredible number of benefits. A saunagus can help create calmness of mind, allowing thoughts to flow freely and making space in your head. The combination of heat, scents, and music puts everything on pause. In a stressful everyday life, saunagus gives a safe and peaceful environment where you can reconnect with your body.
We call it “forced meditation.” On a bad day, a saunagus can give you “an extra life” or offer the day “a second chance.” Saunagus has been a gift in our lives. We started Sauna85 to pass this gift on.
WHERE DO WE HOST SAUNAGUS?
We host saunagus sessions in our saunas in Copenhagen at Rentemestervej 64, 2400, and Yderlandsvej 1, 2300, as well as in Aarhus at Thomas Koppels Gade 201, 8000.
Attn.: Tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to someone else. If you cancel no later than 24 hours before the gus session, the ticket will be returned to your account. If you cancel later than 24 hours before the session, the ticket will not be returned.
